Google to organise your life

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

Google’s goal is to organise people’s lives.

Seeing how much my internet life depends on Google, it’s a bit scary. I used Google search, gmail, reader, calendar, documents, etc. Well at least without those services there are still other alternatives, but Google make such good products that it makes internet convenient. Hail to Google!!

Goodreads

I’ve just joined a social networking website for book readers called goodreads.com. Over there I can at least catalogued all the books I’ve read, view friends’ book list, and possibly swap books that I no longer need. If you want to see what I’m reading, or the books I have, join up and send me a note.

Moving Domain

Friday, May 4th, 2007

I have moved this domain from Flexihostings to HostingRails. But I left it late last night to make the move, while today my old account expired. If you send me emails yesterday or today, and I haven’t replied to you, you might be best to send it again in case your email is somewhere in the internet black hole. If you send an email and got bounced, send it again either today or tomorrow.

The old host has been good. It’s reliable and the cost is low. But I’m moving because I’m interested in Ruby On Rails, and found a new host that support this and it’s even cheaper!! So I’m trying it, and hope it’s as reliable as the old one.

http://www.jonathanyuen.com/, a winner of some awards in website design. It’s really interesting and mesmerisingly beautiful. Especially the use of different animals to represent a sub-section/theme in the website.
