I know at the moment it’s still Beta 4, but I’ve been using it for a couple of days on my mac, and it’s quite stable. The best thing about the new version is the memory usage (Firefox 2 for mac eats up memory like 3000 pound gorilla), and the pages seem to load up faster. Also, the app now uses native look and feel, so it looks like a mac application (eg. safari), rather than a Windows app.
If you can get by without some of the extensions (since a lot of them won’t work in version 3), I recommend trying the beta from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-beta.html
